The Barbara Reynolds Award 2009

The Dorothy L Sayers Society is pleased to announce the creation of a new award to be named after its President, the Italian scholar and writer Dr Barbara Reynolds.

The first award will be made in 2009 in the sum of £1000.00 and will be made in respect of a work which reflects or furthers some aspect of the life or work of Dorothy L Sayers.

The work or works to be submitted should have been printed or published since 1st January 2004 and should usually be of at least 15,000 words in length. Any work in a foreign language should be supported by an abstract in English.

Applications should be made before 31st December 2008 by submission of 3 copies of the work sent to:

All applications will be acknowledged and all applicants will be notified of the result.

The decision of the judging panel is final and no correspondence can be entered into.

It is hoped that the presentation of the first award will be made by Dr Barbara Reynolds on June 13th 2009 − her birthday which she shares with Dorothy L Sayers.
